Garden designer Xanthe White's favourite stretch is Lone Kauri Road, which leads to Karekare on Auckland's west coast.
"It's the last road I walked on as a single woman and the first I walked on married.
I love the green tunnel effect of the road, the narrowness
of it, with its walls of moss.
There's something about coming down Lone Kauri Road and having the green sort of wash over you."
