Link cards with family and close friends to increase the fuel discounts your group accumulates – any cardholder can then redeem them.
You can be a part of one group, whether it’s all AA Smartfuel cardholders, all AA Members or a combination of both. Other cardholders in the group won’t be able to see any of your personal information. They’ll only be able to see your name and card number.
Remember: once you’ve linked your card to a group, all fuel discounts go into a joint account and any cardholder in the group can redeem them. Once a cardholder has redeemed the fuel discounts the account is cleared to zero.
If you receive a message “Card number is already assigned to a group” it means the other cardholder has already linked to another group. You’ll need to ask the other cardholder to send an invite request for you to join that group.
If you leave the group, you take your unused fuel discounts that you earned. You can join another group with them or create a brand new group.
You can invite people to link cards at any time.

Pick up another free AA Smartfuel card from a participating retailer – including BP, Caltex and AA Centres.
Then log in to your account, attach the new card number and deactivate the old one. If you need any help with your account, call 0800 842 877.
If you've lost your AA Membership card, call 0800 500 444 to request a new replacement card – this will be posted to you.
If you started the group you can unlink any of the members of it; otherwise you’ll only be able to remove yourself from the group. If you unlink your card or someone else’s, there won’t be any email notification to other people in the group.
