Bruno Petrenas was elected as the AA’s President on 19 March 2011.
As President, Bruno chairs the AA Board and the AA National Council.
Bruno’s term as AA President concludes in March 2014.
As a chartered professional civil engineer, Bruno has been involved in local government infrastructure design and management for over 27 years. His engineering projects have covered everything from strategic roading projects to airport runways, and he has worked for private consultancies on projects in both Australia and New Zealand.
Bruno has been involved with the AA since 1990 when he was co-opted onto the newly formed Bay of Plenty AA District Council. He went on to chair both the Bay of Plenty and Auckland District Councils, and he has been a long-serving member of the AA Board and an AA National Councillor.
