HI, When we had a tyre blow out when out of town we were taken to the nearest tyre dealer (thanks AA!). They fitted two new front tyres (Hifly 205/40 R17).

I now need two new rear tyres and my suzuki dealer tells me the factory size is 195/45 R17.

We've had no issues with the HiFly tyres (3 months or so).

So should we now put matching ones on the rear. The 205/40 tyres are significantly cheaper :-)

The tyres that have been fitted are marginally wider and have a higher profile. they shouldn't make a significant difference to the vehicles performance providing the tyre fitter can ensure that they are compatible with the rim and wont foul any part of the body work or suspension componentry, it should be ok.
