Hi, i bought 2006 mazda mpv 23t 4wd. How can i use the 4wd function of the car? I have the car manual but nothing mentioned to it and the dealer didn't know how it works as well. There's no gear that you can shift from 2wd to 4wd. Does it mean that i'm always in a 4wd mode? What if i just want to use 2wd and just use 4wd in certain instances? Thanks!

This will be an on-demand system, which means that a majority of the time the vehicle is in 2WD mode only (driving the front wheels), but when the system detects slip, drive is applied to the rear wheels too.

Thanks for the info. If the 4wd function is in use, would there be a warning light that would appear in the dashboard? With this model, does it have the cruise control functionality? How can I activate it if there is? Thanks!

The on-demand AWD setup will intervene unobtrusively, so it does it provides drive to the necessary wheels when it is required. Therefore, there is no need for any lights etc, otherwise it would be flashing on and off all the time on some surfaces.
I don't thing cruise control is a standard feature, but may have been an option.
