Is it OK to use a car-wash brush that the filament ends fluffed on new paintwork Thanks

I prefer not to use any brush - particularly on dark colours. While the brush won't actually damage the paint in the common sense of the word "damage", a brush will always leave very fine scratches that will generally only be noticable in direct sunlight. Lighter colours don't show the scratches as badly, but if you're particularly fussy about the paintwork, a soft cloth is preferable.
