Hi

I am interested in buying a dashboard camera, and have started looking around to see what is out there. There are a lot of different features available, and a lot of different models. I haven't found any with pictures of how they look installed in the vehicle, so I can't get a feel for how much of the driver's field of view they obscure.

I am hoping to find one that automatically starts when the car engine starts, with two or more cameras (one of which can be pointed at the driver), that I can install myself, preferably in an unobtrusive location such as behind the rear view mirror or sun visor.

Are there any particular brands or models that you would particularly recommend? And any other advice for someone shopping for a device like this?

Thanks!

The cameras are becoming popular and for this reason the general public has many options to choose from. There are dual cameras that monitor both external and internal images and some cameras are setup to store event data when a G force incident is detected. There are cameras that can record speed and location data too. Not all cameras are the same and for this reason companies specialise in supplying as well as fitting in car cameras and will guide you accordingly so that you purchase the correct camera for your requirements.
