Hi there,
we have a diesel IX35 and are looking at buying a caravan. I am nearly 70, so the aim is to keep it as simple and hassle free as possible.
The IX 35 is a good vehicle but a smaller lighter weight SUV and whilst we will buy a lighter wt english caravan, I would appreciate your advice on what max single axial overall length caravan we should be looking at.
The van we are looking at is well within the vehicles 1600 kg towing capacity but its the effect a larger van will have on the car I am pondering on.
My feeling is a 19ft or 20ft overall max length is sensible but the dealers tell us the bigger vans tow easily - but is this so ??.
Your comments would be most appreciated.
