We have just purchased a 2010 Holden Commodore SV6 Sportswagon. My understanding is they come with a factory fitted transmisson cooler. We are planning to tow a caravan (max 1600kg braked) with this vehicle. Wondered if if would be advisable to fit an additional transmission cooler? Or is the factory fitted one sufficient.

Just a little nervous as we previously had a ford explorer that blew it's transmission when towing (though it didn't have any cooler fitted as we found out afterwards)

Hi there, I recommend speaking to a transmission specialist in your area to see if these transmissions suffer from heat or if the standard cooler does a good job.
