Hi,

We are needing to look for a new car very soon, and have decided that for now, we just want to get an interim car that will do us the next 2-4 years. In the past we have done about 15,000kms a year. We currently have a 2005 Honda Stream which has been good. We like the size and feel.

We have looked around at different cars in our price range and have found a 2007 Mazda Premacy that we like (drove it this afternoon). We have heard conflicting advice about Mazda's & some of their features so wanted to get your opinion.

This car is or has:
- 2007 Mazda Premacy
- 7 seater
- front/rear cameras
- cvt transmission
- chain driven
- 2.4L
- 172,500kms on the odometer

As said, we are wanting a car in the interim, so to last only 2-4 years, and are not necessarily looking for something long term. However, if it lasts longer than that, that's fine. In a couple of years time, we probably will need to get something bigger as our kids grow up.

What is your opinion please?
Thank you :-)

Hi there,
Mazda are a producer of great cars, the Premacy has not been high on the complained about list. The high km's are something to think about, the closer it gets to the 200k mark it may need extra items at service or when the warrant comes around.
But there are no inherent problems that we have been made aware of.
However, the 1.8 Stream is also a great car in the same category.
