Hi,
While looking at options with crunch budget, i came across this 1999 Toyota Corolla,1.8.
Its done about 145000KM and asking price is $6500.
Would this be a good first car buy.
Few other queries;
- What could be its fuel consumption approximately?
- does it have a cambelt that needs to be taken care of?
- Is the asking price right or can it be lowered?
- Can this car be used for few long trips occassionally other than usual city driving?
- Anything that i should be wary of for this?
Appreciate all inputs.
Seems OK. Fuel economy similar to all the others you've discussed - no cambelt - price a little high for age - can do long trips. Corolla has good reputation.
Thanks again.
if i were to get this one, is there any work/maintenance/part changes that is advisable to be performed to ensure it runs smooth.
Price wise, i believe this should be around 4500, does that sound good.
Only general routine servicing, but it is an old car so could need anything if it's been neglected. $4.5k sounds good.
