Hi guys,

We are looking for an affordable run about and was wondering what you would recommend from these 3 in regards to reliability and ease of parts etc.

Holden Astra 2005

Ford Laser 2002

The Demio.
Older Astras do not enjoy a good reputation for reliability, consequently they are not popular and depreciation is high.
The Laser looks a good car and looks to have been in NZ since new, but it has done higher kms than the others.
On that basis, the Demio would be the least risky. It is a very popular model, has a good reputation for reliability and holds its value well. It has also done relatively low kms for its age.
