hi there,
specs: 04, 2.3cc, 5 spd, over 250,000km's, looks to be in good condition serviced & maintained.

can you pls give me book value, also since this is sports version 2.3cc, i assume it will consume more fuel..how will it fare economical wise compared to same model Mazda 323, 2.0cc?

Cheers,

Jeeves, some polite advice from an interested bystander.
You've asked many questions about a range of vehicles and dont appear to have taken on board some of the advice given. Firstly, stop asking for "Book value". The car is worth what someone is willing to pay for it. Look on Trade Me for same make/model/mileage of cars that HAVE SOLD, not current asking price. They will give you true market value.
If you're looking at "sport models", stop asking about fuel economy as sport and economy do not mix.
A car with "over 250000km" is more likely to require substantial maintenance/repairs so fuel economy is the least of your concerns.
Narrow down to 2 or 3 car models of similar design that you like, then visit Google for reviews and comparisons and Trade Me for market value.
Good luck!

Tks for your advise, point taken, fair comment.

Its not easy and can be frustrating to make a purchase decision when I have to take into personal, family, vested interests...etc and make the correct choice which will please all stake-holders. So its not easy , can be difficult, tedious and frustrating, hence the reason so many questions.

Specially when dealing with buying used cars, one cannot be extra careful, selection criteria are value for money, reliability, economical, performance, safety..etc . All check list criteria need to be fulfilled at least to a certain extent. So I am a bit confused as to whats best out there or which way should I lean towards when it comes to selecting an used car. Hope and trust you understand my point of view and where I am coming from. Its not a easy job to select hence why I ask questions from industry experts since my knowledge is marginal when it comes to cars.

I do take your point on board, will heed your advise & do more research using tools such as google, TM sold section.

ako_newplymouth is absolutely right. While we are here to give advice and are always prepared to do so, it's not possible to give a "book value" for most of the cars you're looking at. High mileage cars such as these have very little value and are only worth what someone is prepared to pay. Due to the high mileage, they are high risk, therefore most buyers won't be prepared to pay very much.
As ako_newplymouth suggests, look online at what is selling (not just the asking price).
