Turners Auctions have a 2011 HYUNDAI I30 1.6 CRDI ELITE A4 Hatchback in WHITE that I've bought a history check off you for.
It has no WOF or Rego and is being auctioned tomorrow.
It's got a 123000kms, one owner.
Is there anyway it can be test driven? We would get an AA pre inspection done.
The other car we are interested in is a 2008 Subaru Impreza 1.5. Its an import with one NZ owner & 103000kms on it.

Can you help us? Give some advice please. We love our Mazda 6 wagon as were tossing up between that and a Subaru last time we asked for advice. Th reason we are after another car is because my wifes Impreza was parked in the usual work spot when some ??? lost control & hit hers and another one that were both written off. Not groaning to much as lucky she wasn't in it!

Would like a Mazda 3 except the 2009 and up seem a bit out of our price range.

As the vehicle has no WoF or Rego, it isn't allowed to be driven on a public road, but perhaps you can ask Turners if there is somewhere private where the vehicle can be driven. Obviously, it's always a concern buying a car with no WoF, and I'd strongly suggest having it inspected by someone with mechanical knowledge before committing to such a vehicle, as there may be a reason why it's being auctioned without a WoF.
As you say, the Mazda3 is a very good model, but you will pay a premium due to them having a good reputation. On the plus side, they hold their value well so would be easy to sell at a premium price when the time comes for you to sell.
