Hi, my grandparents are looking at buying a new small hatch around the $20k mark to replace their current 2010 Suzuki Swift. The ones they have considered so far are the Suzuki Swift GLX, the Toyota Yaris GX, and the Skoda Fabia 66kW. Any other ideas on what they could consider? Only condition is that it MUST be a manual (my grandmother refuses to drive anything without a clutch pedal). They aren't bothered on whether it is Euro or Japanese, they have owned Peugeots and VWs in the past and currently have a Citroen DS3 DSport, and they haven't ever had any problems.

Any one of these would be good, however the one that is perhaps the most interesting, with a great chassis and good levels of comfort and relative refinement for this sector would be the Skoda Fabia. We have been most impressed with Skoda product in recent times, and the new Fabia is no exception.
Another car to consider is the new Mazda2. It is also quite refined and has very good equipment levels.

Thanks for your help. In the end they bought a Yaris, as Miles Toyota was having a special on them.
