Hello

I have gone through a lot of cars but nothing is clicking as my budget is 10k and do not want a car Older then 5 years

However, I am now looking at a Toyota Yaris T130 2010 model which is available in my budget.

I wanted the experienced members opinion on the quality of the car and the availability of spares and running costs.
Also is there any particular thing I should like out for when I am inspecting the car .

I will be taking the AA pre purchase inspection package for peace of mind.

Hi there,
The Yaris looks to be NZ new and the import version is the Vitz.
My pick would be the Yaris you are looking at, specs show a conventional transmission which is a good thing.
Running costs and fuel economy will be some of the lowest around.
Parts now days would be easily obtainable for these cars.
A Pre Purchase inspection will check everything you need to know. I would look for the lowest km's possible, service history, no accident damage, and clean and tidy apperarance.

Just noticed that the car is on sale on Trademe since September 2014 but has not been sold !

Could there be something seriously wrong with the car or is the asking price very high?
Any thoughts on the probable reason ?

Hi there,
Yes it does seem strange that the car would be for sale that long.
It may be opportunity to negotiate a ower price, or further inspection is required just incase there are further issues discouraging potential buyers.
