Hello

While negotiating a car, I asked for the original Japanese auction sheet under which the car was bought.
The auction sheet showed that the car was a 4.5 grade although it had run more then 50,000 kms
I was told by some other source that if a car has run more then 50,000 kms, it cannot be certified as a Grade 4.5
So is it possible that the NZ car seller has fudged the Japanese auction sheet ?
Has any member come across any case where a fake Japanese auction sheet has been shown to a customer to prove the quality of the car ?
Should i not take it for granted that the auction sheet is 100% genuine ?

Is there any link wherein you can verify that the sheet is genuine ?

Thanks for advising

Hi there,
I'm are not aware of the 50k rule. It is based on the condition of the car, 4.5 seems
to be a very good condition. I havn't heard of any fraudulent Japenese auction sheets in NZ.
It's always good to get a pre purchase inspection to check the overall condition to satisfy
the rest of the vehciel matches the 4,5 description.

Hi there,
You can contact a translation service in your area. (google) or look for a translated copy
online of an auction certificate and matchup the details with yours.
