Hi
As you know I've been asking what car I should next buy and have now reached the stage if selling my car privately.
This is my first time doing so, and I want to know what precautions I should take particularly when allowing people to test drive the car. My worst nightmare would be to have the car returned with the engine thrashed to destruction and the car having been damaged, I want to do everything I can to avoid this.
Thanks
Mitchell

Hi Mitchell,
I would always go with the person test driving your car so you can make sure they drive it properly. Nerver hand over the keys wothout full payment. The ownership can be changed
on smart phones or online instantly. You can do the seller part online right away also.
I would write up a reciept stating when the rego and wof expire and that you are selling the car as is where is and for how much. And have the buyer sign to say they understand this.
