I like my Holden v8's but the price is a bit prohibitive for a 2007-8 VE SS. so my other 2 options is a FG falcon xr6 turbo or a Nissan Fuga 450GT 2008. I am leaning towards the Nissan Fuga 450GT due to the amount of options available compared to the 2 aussie cars which makes it good value for money. I know it won't hold it's value as much but that isn't much of a concern. So, if i buy the Nissan what checks would you recommend due to it being an import. Our am I better to stick to the Aussies?

Exactly, I think the majoy downside with the Nissan is the transmission, I hear they are problematic and very costly to repair.
If you want more information, also contact a transmission specialist in a major town and they can give you info on what to look out for. If i was choosing between the two, I would stick with the Aussies on this occasion.

The Nissan Fuga has a 5 speed auto.

Regarding the FG falcon I hear the only real issues to watch out for is servicing the auto if its done over 100,00km and diff bushes? I plan to get a car that's done under 100,000km preferably around 70-80 thousand km
