I presently drive a 1999 Grand Vitara and tow it with an A Frame behind my motorhome. The 2006 Grand Vitara is AWD and dial to change to locked or Neutral-for towing.
I have been assured that it is suitable for towing provided I run the motor every 200Kms or so.
Legally VTNZ say it is okay as does an A Frame Manufacturer/installer.
Is there any real issue with towing this model?

Hi there, I'm not aware of any potential issues towing this vehicle. Maybe even try asking the motor caravan association if they have heard of any issues.

This question was really a confirmation of what I have already been told by Suzuki and A Frame fitters. There is confusion among many because the LTNZ rules seem ambiguous.

Thanks Cade, yes downloaded it. Also emailed LTNZ last week and still have not heard from them!!
