Hi

Any general observations on the Subaru Outback 2.5L circa 2007-09? Servicing costs, fuel economy, known problems etc?

Hi there,
These vehicles are generally very good and not really prone to having too many issues. The 2.5 was prone to blowing head gaskets if overheated, so make sure the cooling system is in good order. Servicing costs should not be any more expensive than the next vehicle.
Fuel economy is not super low, but you do benefit from a larger engine capacity and AWD.
