Hi. We are looking for a new family car and two of the cars that keep coming up in our search criteria include a Toyota Zio and Toyota Corolla Fielder, but I can't find many/any reviews about them. We have had Toyota Carbis and Corollas before, but were hoping for something a bit more powerful. How would the Zio and Corolla Fielder be? Any comments? Especially on reliability and power for hills etc (we live in a hilly area). Thank you!

Hi there,
The fielder is a great car, however the engine size varies from small 1500cc to 1800cc, with the 1800cc recommended for out of town driving.
The Mark-X ZIO will have a larger engine 2400cc or 3500 V6, they will have more power but with that comes more fuel usage so keep that in mind.
Most of these cars will have a 1-speed CVT transmission, they operate a little differently than a conventional auto and we recommend careful inspection of the operation and condition before buying.
