We have a Holden Captiva (2009 LX 7 seater) which has been nothing but trouble for the past 5 years. We are ready to ditch it and have decided to go for a mid-large station wagon. We don't want another SUV as the running and maintenance costs are too high.

Our kids are a bit older so we need lots of leg room in the back. Our budget is $20-$25k and we're after something reliable that isn't too pricey to run or maintain. We'd welcome any suggestions.

Thanks

Hi there,
A few options that spring to mind, Mazda 6 wagon, Subaru Outback, or Holden Commodore. Some European vehicles like Audi A4 Avant, BMW 320i Touring might fit the bill.
