Torque converter = tried and true, predictable, generally reliable and cheap to service (in comparison)
Dual Clutch = Fun, super fast gear selection, sometimes unpredictable/ hesitant, not cheap if repairs required (the more luxury European manufacturers seem to do it best).
CVT = getting stronger and better as they evolve, a few brands were mostly complained about up till 2010. One speed style seem to keep the revs high, which people tend to love or hate about the CVT, tow ratings low if recommended at all.
