There is a rumbling noise from the right hand rear that my garage seems unable to detect. They have replaced rear suspension arms and checked suspension, replaced top arm ball joints, replaced front sway bar bushes but still the noise persists. I don't think that it is anything to do with the brakes as the noise sill persists when the brakes are applied. I hope that you can help as this is driving me nuts. Thanks Jim

A rumbling noise is most unlikely to be suspension arms, ball joints or bushes, but is most likely to be one of two things;
1) A worn wheel bearing
2) Tyre noise. Some tyres (particularly directional tyres) can be very noisy and are often confused with wheel bearing noise.
I'm assuming this vehicle isn't 4WD, but if it is, it's also possibly something in the driveline.
