Hi. I am thinking of buying a 2011 Subaru Legacy with 2.5L turbo with approx. 30,000 kms. Is the turbo likely to give any problems in the next year? I do about 20,000 kms per annum.

The risk of failure will be reduced if the vehicle has a full service history and hasn't had any modification done to it. Unfortunately, nobody has a crystal ball to advise whether the turbo will fail within the next 12 months. Turbos are a lot more reliable these days than back in the day and the mileage is low which is a good thing and we would expect the likelihood of failure is minimal.

You should consider having a Pre-Purchase Inspection carried out on the vehicle.
