Hi there,

I own a 2005 Nissan Presage with the VQ35DE 3.5 litre petrol engine. Now I want to change the engine oil. Would you please tell how many litre oil it needs? I am ready to get Nissan oil 5W-30 for it.

Thanks

The specifications state around 4.7L litres of engine oil. However, as any good mechanic knows you need to check the dipstick reading as you are filling up. I suggest filling with around 4L initially then let the oil settle and check the dipstick. From there you can top up to the fill mark. After starting the vehicle you need to switch the vehicle off and recheck the dipstick oil level; after allowing the oil to settle again. The vehicle should be parked on a flat/level surface.

Thank you very much. I filled 4L oil inside. I think it is not enough. I will fill almost 1L oil into engine follow the step you gave to me.
