Dear advisor,

I have some new auto transmission fluid left over from a year ago. It's stored in its relatively large original container (tightly capped). Is it still OK to use it to top up the fluid level? Is AT fluid hydroscopic and do you think its condition has deteriorated? Thanks very much for your advice.

This fluid should be absolutely fine to use providing it has not been contaminated and is the correct fluid for the application.
