HI. I have regularly serviced my Skoda at the dealership. However, is there any disadvantage to taking it elsewhere - I know skoda have all the tech diagnostic equipment. My friend recommended a good mechanic that has reasonable rates so I am weighing up whether to give him a go. What are your thoughts?

The only downside I can see, would be Vehicle Specific expertise. They may not quite have the knowledge or experience to locate or diagnose faults, should a repair be required. Maybe general servicing would be fine. And Skoda if there is ever a problem.
