Hi - have a question about a tyre, caused when my partner reversed the car into the garage roller door channel. The cut is into the bead at the edge of the rim. I can send a pic if that helps - wondering if the tyre is safe?

If you can see the cords in the cut, then it will most likely be deemed unsafe and fail a wof.
They look a bit like string in the tyre tread.
If in doubt just call into your local tyre shop to have it checked.
If it only a few mm deep then it should be fine to drive on, and pose no issue.
