My daughter (also an AA member) wont get her car transmission fixed because of 1. expense and 2. is the car worth it. After months, we are concerned because she cannot put it into reverse. She was quoted $2 to 2,500. How can she find out if the whole car is worth it or not? What is your opinion please?

It all depends on the age and condition of the vehicle.
It may not be worth fixing and the money you lose selling as it is, may still be less than
what you would spend fixing it.
You can look around and see what cars similar to hers are selling for.
