To whom it may concern

I recently had my vehicle's (Toyota Passo 2004) wheels rotated at a Toyota branch in Auckland:

the wheel rotation were as follow: Left front tire was moved to the right rear and Right front to the left rear. Is this as it is supposed to be? as I'm used to Left front to left rear and Right front to right rear.

Is the way Toyota did it safe and will it impact fuel economy in anyway?

Thank you

That is precisely the system recommended for my mitsubishi outlander.Cant see how it would be unsafe or use more fuel.

Hi there,
This is also a common rotation method and should not affect your vehicle operation in any way.
With directional or rotational tyres you can only rotate them front to back, as they have to rotate in the direction specified on the tyre.
Non rotational tyres can be rotated either way.

Thank you - just to be sure: non rotational and non directional means the same thing? :)

Pretty much yes. Some performance tyres have a directional arrow and outside written on them so they can only be fitted on the rims specific to the left and right sides.
