Hi
I am asking in general, as I know cars such as Nissans and Hondas of the late 90's and early 2000's which had CVT transmissions are a nightmare as they age, are there cars around the 2005-2010 region which had CVT transmissions which are expected to last as long as a conventional automatic and with regular fluid changes will keep going? I am just asking as I see many later Mitsubishi Colts and newer Jazz's with them fitted and from what i believe, a CVT is very smooth, economical and keeps the power on when needed when they are working right?
Thanks

Hi there,
From what we understand, the cvts up to 2010 are still an issue. Especially in the nissans, Jazz and Fit.
We havn't heard many reports about the colts, and it may be because there are not as many on the road as the Hondas.
The Jazz after 2010 seems to be ok. However there are people who enjoy the cvts without faults. But we mostly hear about the faults.
