Hi. I have a 91 Mitsubishi Lancer sedan. Just checked my oil and noticed it's near minimum. I have no garage so I park on the street. Given that winter is almost upon us, what motor oil grade would you recommend for a top up?

Hi there,
According to the Castrol information. Your can use a 10w40 or I would even use a 15w40
engine oil for your car. Usually on about 500lms between low and high on the dipstick.

Thanks Cade. Discovered an old service record which says the last engine oil used in my car was 10w30. Would it be OK to top that up with 10w40 or 15w40?
Cheers, Anton

Hi there,
It would be ok if you already had the other oils. But if you were to buy some, then I would
stick to what was used for the service 10w30 is a better oil. You should be able to buy 1 ltr top up packs.
