Hello

I am thinking of buying a car with 95,000 on the odometer
I intend to take a mechanical breakdown insurance or a comprehensive insurance also

My question is that in case of failure of the transmission or any major part, would it be covered by the insurance or I would be expected to bear the cost as these parts would have run their life and were due for replacement
Also does a mechanical breakdown insurance cover me better in case of failure of part or a comprehensive insurance .
