Hi I own a Skoda Octavia 2010. Warranty has expired 2014. It has just needed a new fuel pump and battery at a cost of $ 1261.00. My wife who has driven second hand cheapies all her life cannot believe a car of this age would need such major work at 5 years old. I must add that tonight it broke down in the middle of the road and would not start as well after it has been "fixed" . Is this sort of major work to be expected in a 5 year old Skoda? She would like to complain to them but we want to know if we are being reasonable.
