Following a "jump start" by your road assistance man my auto wipers will not work having reverted to manual interval wiping. The car is a 2004 Accord 2.4. The local Honda service branch has failed to resolve the problem. Apparently "resetting" the auto function has no effect.
What can you suggest and what actions are your service team taking to prevent this in the future?

I have heard of this problem a few times with these cars, and it is not the jump start that causes the problem. But the fact that your battery went flat that plays havoc with your auto wipers.
When battery power is lost, residual power to keep memories, idle, engine management, radio codes/ stations ect is lost and a lot of functions need to be reset.
