Hello, I have a Toyota Fun Cargo 2000 model. I recently noticed that the automatic gearbox oil gets low. I have refilled it to the required makings on the dip stick. The oil level then dropped again after a few thousand kilometers. I have checked the gearbox and the floor in the garage where we park it, no oil signs at all. Can you advice me on this matter please?

Hi there,
I would first make sure you are checking the level with the correct procedure.
Generally the car needs to be running and in park or neutral and preferably when the transmission is warm. Some cars have differing procedures.
If in doubt take your car to a transmission specialist and ask them to re check the level for you.

I am very familiar with this procedure of checking the oil level, my concern is where does all the oil go to if it is not leaking out of it?

Hi there,
Maybe if it has a transmission cooler and it's leaking internally, it could be leaking into the cooling system?.
