Hi there.
I've been on an on-line hunt for a new car. I notice some of the dealers describe the vehicle as having an "AA Appraisal". What's this about please? And sorry, it might be a silly question but AA Odometer inspection means the odo has been verified as correct by an AA rep?? Cheers.

Hi there,
An Apraisal is a "dealer-only" inspection, and is a small cosmetic type check to let the dealer know the condition of the vehicle before putting on the yard.
It is generally not enough to buy a car on, as it does not give indication of every component of the vehicle. A pre purchase is defintely recommended.
Yes it does mean that the odo has been checked by an authorised representative. You can even go online and view the certificate.
