Hi
I recently had the brakes replaced on my car. When I got the bill it said "Both rear caliper shims missing on arrival" My questions are 1 What are they? 2 What do they do? and 3 Should I be worried they are missing?
Thanks
David

Hello David brake shims are designed to reduce noise and rattle it is not uncommon to find these missing, If you are not experiencing noisy brakes or rattle your vehicle should be fine.
