Hello,

My 2003 XR6 has 211K on the clock and I was wanting to know if/when the chain would likely need replaced as I know they can stretch over time. There are no noises coming from the timing chain area.

Hi There,
As there is no set interval for the replacement of the chain, it would be down to if/when it gets noisy then it would be time to replace.
I'm not aware of a certain km's that it is recommended to replace the chain regardless.
