I have owned a 2006 Nissan Note with CVT trans since last April. Sometimes when accelerating from rest or a low speed, I feel a jolt. I've driven other cars with CVT, and the acceleration has been smooth. Yesterday when i was accelerating hard I felt a jolt and there was an increase in revs, just like the kickdown in a conventional auto. The thing I'd like to know is if this is normal for a CVT, or does it need some attention? By the way, the trans. fluid was changed recently.

Nissan CVT transmissions around this year have been known to give trouble, so I recommend getting a transmission specialist to take a look just in case there is a problem starting.
