My Mazda familia 1998 has the problem as subject above. I have to top up the engine oil quite frequently. 1 liter for only 100km. Besides that, my car is not as powerful as previously and came out some smoke when I keep press down on the acceleration. I sent my car to repair but was informed that it's not worth as the cost of repair is higher than buying another car. Is this true？or I should send my car to AA service & repair for further checking?

It sounds like you may have a blown head gasket, if this is the case, it can often cost upwards of $2,000.00 to repair, and this is the reason why it is generally no longer economical to repair older vehicles.
