We're looking to buy a Freelander 2 and wonder if we should go for a petrol or diesel model, as we'll be doing low mileage (less than 10 000 km p.a.). Any other guidance would be much appreciated on what to look out for/avoid regarding this particular car. Thanks...

They will have similar running costs, however being a Freelander for resale purposes/ application I would tend to recommend the diesel variant. have a good inspection carried out on the vehicle particularly if it was used off road or on the beach.
