we recently purchased a 2002 nissan primera wagon (awf26). we are not sure if we can put 91 in or not and would it cause any damage.

Sorry but the AWF26 doesn't mean anything to me and I can't find any reference to it in our literature. I thought it might be your rego, but that doesn't come up either.
However, if this is a standard run of the mill Primera, it is fine to run it on 91.

OK, so it's a standard 2.0 litre Primera with CVT transmission, so 91's fine.
