Hi,

What would the running cost be for 2004 Peugeot 206 Style 1360cc?
Is there any different rate for if used for small trips compare to long drives ?

Also do you know the website address AA has to these rates for IRD self employed use ?

The AA calculated running cost rate for a car of this engine capacity is 54c per km. However, this is based on a car at 3-5 years of age where depreciation is a significant factor, so on an older car, the rate is likely to reduce. To work it out accurately once a vehicle ages, the only real way to calculate the cost is to keep every receipt and divide the total by the kms travelled.
If you are an AA member, you can access this information by logging into MyAA.
As for IRD rates, the IRD use an average of all the AA rates (from small to large vehicles, petrol/diesel etc) and allow 77c per km. However, unlike the AA rate which IRD will accept, the IRD rate requires you to keep a logbook and has a limit of 5,000km per annum.
