This is an import from Japan. It did not come with a car manual. What is the normal fuel tank capacity of this model? What is the average fuel consumption from common experience of this on 80% city and 20% open road driving? There is a "sport" button on the AT shift, will switching it on reduce my fuel efficiency.
Would be glad to hear from everyones experience. Thanks.

According to the Japanese domestic 10-15 mode (mixed cycle), the claimed economy for this model is 6.3L/100km. However, this is calculated under laboratory conditions and in real world driving it will be more.
This model has a CVT transmission and a reputation for being on the thirsty side. This is because CVT transmissions can produce a wide range of economy results. Driven very gently, the transmission ratio will ensure the engine is always be in the optimum rev range for economy, so will be more economic than most conventional transmissions. However, hardly anyone drives like that, so driven hard, a CVT transmission will produce particularly poor economy due to the flare of the transmission causing the engine to rev higher than the corresponding road speed.
The sport mode is not really the issue, it's more about accelerating up to speed, when you will hear the engine rev high but the car is still not travelling fast (sounds like a slipping clutch in a manual car).
According to data available to us, this car has a 52 litre tank.
