I bought a 2003 Chrysler PT Cruiser, six months ago, from a used car dealer. At the time of purchase it had 145,473 k and is now at 157, 675k's. I had to take it back a week after I bought it, and they replaced the spark plugs. Now it seems I have a blown head gasket. Is the dealer liable for repairs? Do I have any comeback at all?

Having travelled 12,000km in this vehicle and owned it for 6 months, it's unlikely the dealer would be responsible for these repairs under the Consumer Guarantees Act (CGA) given the age and mileage of the vehicle.
The CGA has no finite timeframe, but the act is worded in such a way to protect consumers for a "reasonable" timeframe. Obviously, on a late model, low mileage car the time considered reasonable would be longer than on an older, high mileage vehicle.
There's nothing stopping you from taking the matter to the Motor Vehicle Disputes Tribunal, however the chances of winning may not be high.
