Hey, I've had my class 1 full license for almost 3 years with a clean record albeit a couple of speeding camera fines(over 2 years ago) and am going to get my learner motorcycle license soon. I have a job that starts at 5am, for which I would need to leave at around 4:30am. Is it likely for me to be able to get an exemption for this 30 minute period on a learners? Would the case be different with a restricted?

Hi there,
Generally the NZTA dont allow exemptions for learners liscence times, however they suggested you can apply and see what they say. Will cost $27.20 non refundable, form to download is called a DL4 found on the NZTA website. They look at each case and make a decision individually. NZTA said you can get a time change for your restricted easier than learners.
