Hello, I brought a 2005 Renault Megane cc with 53,000 kms on the 30 of August last year, and from day one has had many issues. A leak which made the vehicle full of water, window wipers motor broke, 2 window faults and cruse control sometimes working all with in the first month. Told the dealer about each issue and he attempted to fix the window with a non genuine one which did only half of the functions which the genuine one did and took a month. Ending up fixing all the rest by myself as couldn't wait around for him as needed the car for daily driving. Now the cars auto transmission has completely played up - top speed is 30km. Happen last night on the road and called up roadside assist, and he said to look into the possibility of rejecting the vehicle as it could be covered up to 6 months. It now has 63kms and have looked at the CGA, and unsure if I have ground to stand on for rejecting the car as of the length of ownership?

Hi There,
The CGA gives no time-frame, just a list of requirements with regards to vehicles sold by dealers. There are two types of faults, serious and non serious. The dealer would have to collectively agree with the faults being serious and there are a list of remedies available for you to choose from, including rejection of the vehicle.
Naturally the price paid, vehicle condition, and the time since purchase will determine
the level of come-back on the dealer.
